REMEDIAL MASSAGE

I used these questions to give an idea of the changes patients experience: What symptoms did you come with? How long had you had these symptoms? Which treatments had you tried before coming to us? How were you managing your pain? How long had you been coming for treatment before you noticed an improvement, how long have you been coming, approximately how many treatments have you had? What are you able to do now that you weren’t when you first came?

Patient 1: Hip Replacement

Symptoms: muscle pain and stiffness in left hip, lower back pain radiating towards right hip and down right leg. Had since total hip replacement 20 months ago.

Treatments: physiotherapy and exercises. Took Paracetamol for pain.

After 7 sessions I have no pain in my right hip and leg, minimal lower back pain and the left hip is improving. Remedial massage can cause some bruising which is a bit painful to start with but once that had worn off I noticed improvements straight away. I am now in much less pain and able to move about much easier, it is definitely helping me.
