I am a member of the NAMMT (RM) National Association of Masseurs and Manipulative Therapists (Remedial Massage). During the 5 years since I qualified, I have become expert at assessing and treating injuries so that they heal in the optimum time. Treatment is equally effective for recent and old injuries - though the latter generally respond more slowly before reaching complete recovery. I have particular success with injuries that have not responded to previous treatment. Be prepared for tenderness in areas that are being treated, but please tell me about this. I need your feedback to pinpoint the damaged tissue and to regulate pressure so that you benefit fully from the work that I am doing. Examples of current cases and how long ago the injury was sustained, before improvement was noted and fitness returned: Running: achilles injury 12 months, 1 treatment, 3 treatments (fit enough to book up a duathlon! previously treated elsewhere) Skiing: calf injury 1 year, 1 treatment, 4 treatments. Road traffic accident 30 years, 1 treatment, many treatments ongoing. Horse riding: hip injury 16 years, 1 treatment, 4 treatments. Computing: hand injury 2 weeks, 1 treatment, 2 treatments. Never underestimate the body's ability to recover. Even after 30 years it will still respond as soon as it is given the opportunity. | ||
