Hand massage First warm the hand as for the arm with flushing strokes - you may find it easier to work with your hand placed against your body. Use your thumb to massage the joint at the base of each finger, hold each finger and circle it each way then pull gently. Then bend each finger joint individually back and forth a couple of times. Make small circles on the ball of your thumb and the palm of your hand. Use your thumb to slide up the back of your hand between the ridges extending back from each finger. Hold your hand across the four finger joints of the palm and roll the joints against each other, then push your hand to its fullest extent in each direction to stretch it: to the front and back, to each side. When you have finished, shake your arms to relax them.
